Home Office with Fire Cladding

Introduction:

This client approached us with the requirement of building a home office in their garden. They wanted a space that was functional, well-lit, and complied with all regulations.

Challenges:

The main challenge was to ensure that the Nordic Room, which was to be built near the boundary, complied with fire safety regulations. We had to come up with a solution that would satisfy our client’s needs while meeting the required safety standards.

Solution:

To address the fire safety concerns, we added fire cladding to the sides and back of the Nordic Room. This ensured that the building complied with all regulations while still providing ample natural light through a standard French door, two glass panels, and three airing windows. Additionally, we built a large decking at the front to provide an outdoor space for the client to work and relax.

Results:

The Nordic Room was completed on time and within the client’s budget. The finished product met all regulatory requirements and exceeded our client’s expectations. They now have a functional, well-lit home office that provides a comfortable and inspiring work environment.
