Nordic Room is a family-owned business founded by the Eklo family in 2001. Our aim was to introduce the best and highest quality Scandinavian materials and building techniques to the UK. For over 24 years, we’ve been providing bespoke and made-to-measure garden offices, garden studios, granny annexes, and other garden buildings to customers across Surrey and beyond.

We take pride in our commitment to delivering the finest quality products. Our team is made up of expertly trained carpentry teams who possess the skills and experience necessary to construct our garden cabins and timber frame buildings to the highest standards.

Kristian and Sharron Eklo own and run the business from our main office and warehouse in West Byfleet, Surrey.

All our timber frame buildings are completely made to measure, meaning the whole service is tailored around your needs.

Once you become a part of the Nordic Room family, we will guide you through every step of the process. A true one stop shop, we not only build a cabin for you we

Help turn your vision into a reality with our design service including advice on internal finishes
Have a team of architects to create technical drawings and assist in planning information
Our skilled carpenters are always friendly and conscientious leaving your property as they found it
Have buildings control experts on hand to make sure the project complies with UK standards
Quality assure every cabin with a 1 year service plan as standard (not least because due to the nature of timber frame buildings, as they settle you may experience minor expansion/contraction that requires tweaking)

You may be surprised to learn that the majority of our cabins have been built under permitted building rights (so planning permission isn’t required), again this is something we would be happy to help advise on too.
